At those Manta Point dive sites, cleaner fish, mostly the Blue Streak Cleaner Wrasse, clean the mantas by eating bacteria and parasites from their skin. Remoras might clean the manta rays, too, although they are often considered hitchhikers and just swim along. When a Manta Cleaning Station becomes a scuba dive spot, the dive site is often called 'Manta Point'. Mantas like the bubbles from the scuba divers. The manta rays often come towards scuba divers to swim right above them and feel the bubbles. So with the cleaner fish cleaning the manta rays' skin, combined with the whirlpool sensation of the bubbles produced by scuba divers, it really is a spa treatment for the mantas!!You can read more about different scuba dive destinations and scuba diving travel in general on my website here:https://www.splashpacker.com/category/scuba-dive-travel/#mantapoint #mantas #mantaray #divetravel #scubadiving #splashpacker #oceaneyes #maldives #maldivesdiving #scubadive #scubadiver #scubadivinggirls #diving #manta
