YouTube Video VVVud0dBczM3Z3ZCRC0taEMtNFAxMmlBLnU4eTlURVFMVkFZ There are many dive sites where you can scuba dive in Sal Island in Cape Verde. I did several scuba dives whilst staying in Santa Maria on Sal Island. In this video, you can see the many turtles we spotted, the Kwarcit Wreck (sometimes called Boris), and other marine life. Fish and ocean life I saw whilst scuba diving on Sal Island in Cape Verde include lobster, nudibranch, stingrays, a shark, porcupine fish, the Senegal rockfish, and more. What I particularly liked about the wreck dive was the yellow corals. The bright yellow sun coral is called Atlantia Caboverdiana, and previously named Tubastraea Caboverdiana. Whilst creating this video, I added the video of a third Sal scuba dive site to it. To give you a complete idea of what to expect from scuba diving for your diving holiday or scuba diving while traveling to Santa Maria in Cape Verde. Although I wasn't very lucky with the visibility, my experience of scuba diving in Sal Island was really good. My highlight was seeing the 3 turtles playing with each other so close to me. In this video, I also explain more about the turtles, the nesting and hatching process, and the best season to spot them. More information can be found in my blog post with travel information for Sal Island in Cape Verde:https://www.splashpacker.com/travel-information/cape-verde/sal-island-day-tour-in-cape-verde-sustainable-travel-things-to-do-in-santa-maria/Sal Island travel post, with a focus on sustainable tourism, that includes a day tour with a local company and scuba dive information, is my next post. There are several scuba dive centers in Santa Maria on Sal Island, I chose to go scuba diving with Eco Dive School in Cape Verde. As the name suggests, they are a very eco-conscious dive center in Sal Island, founded by a marine biologist and participating in ocean conservation. As promised, here is the link to the Nikon dive travel camera post:
