YouTube Video VVVud0dBczM3Z3ZCRC0taEMtNFAxMmlBLjd5cFRqLXVVRWNF An absolute hidden gem tucked away in the historic center of Seville! 👑I accidentally came across this beautiful Catholic church while walking through the vibrant Macarena neighborhood along Calle Feria in Seville, Spain. Called the Iglesia de San Juan de la Palma (historically San Juan Bautista), this church has a truly impressive, layered history.Originally built in the 14th century over the remains of an ancient 12th-century Moorish mosque, the building is a stunning example of cultural fusion. As you look around, you can see how the unique Mudéjar (Spanish-Moorish) architectural style seamlessly blends with striking 15th-century Gothic façades and magnificent 18th-century Baroque altarpieces.Just like Seville's famous palaces, the grand Cathedral, and the Alcazar, this small church proves that you can find breathtaking cultural and architectural fusion around every single corner in Andalusia! If you love art, history, and ancient architecture, Seville will easily steal your heart.💡 SPLASH PACKER TRAVEL TIP:
The entrance to the Church of San Juan de la Palma is completely FREE of charge! It’s a peaceful, quick stop to admire some incredible local history away from the massive tourist crowds. Just keep an eye on the time, as smaller local churches in Spain often close for the afternoon around 1:00 PM!If you want to discover more secret corners of Spain, feel free to SUBSCRIBE! I have a lot more Seville content on the way, and I'm currently planning adventures to even more historic cities across Andalusia.🎟️ PLANNING YOUR TRIP TO SEVILLE?
